As a Lead Medical Receptionist at Fairfax Radiology Centers, you’ll go beyond your core duties to take on a dynamic leadership role. You’ll serve as the go-to resource for your team, ensuring smooth operations and delivering an exceptional experience for our patients and their families.
What you’ll do:
- Be the Team’s Go-To Expert: Provide guidance and solutions for Patient Coordinators, addressing questions and resolving challenges with confidence.
- Manage Complex Inquiries: Triage patient and referring physician concerns that go beyond the routine, ensuring they are appropriately resolved or escalated.
- Create a Welcoming Environment: Regularly review the lobby to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting space for patients and families.
- Engage with Patients: Proactively check in with patients waiting longer than expected, keeping them informed and reassured.
- Train and Mentor: Assist with onboarding and training new Patient Coordinators while mentoring and supporting current team members.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the Center Manager to evaluate processes, recommend improvements, and enhance the patient experience.
- Manage coverage: Prepares staff work assignments and shift schedules, arranging coverage for unexpected absences.
- Ensure Accuracy: Lead quality assurance efforts to minimize registration errors and maintain high standards.
What you’ll bring:
- 1+ years of experience as a Patient Coordinator within Fairfax Radiology Centers
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
- Highly proficient with computers and programs that FRC uses.
- Team player: very engaged with patients and families that utilize our services.
