Who You Are:
As an Administrative Resident for Fairfax Radiology Centers, you are ready to take the theory you’ve learned in your Health Administration, Business Administration, or Public Health degree program and apply it in a practical setting, taking that next step to prepare you for a career in Healthcare Management.
This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday) for 8 weeks over the summer, at our corporate office and our Imaging Centers throughout Northern Virginia.
Projects:
A major component of the residency will be departmental rotations. The student will be given assignments designed to give practical experience at various levels of the organization. These activities may include assisting in patient-facing operations, the collection of data to analyze problems of high organizational priority, or participation in the implementation of new initiatives.
Rotations:
The Administrative Resident will have the opportunity to work with the Executive Team and imaging centers. Projects and department rotations are based on need. Examples may include Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Clinical Departments, Information Technology.

What you’ll bring:
- Must be a student enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s program in Health Administration, Business Administration or Public Health.
- Must have 1 – 2 years’ experience in administrative and/or customer service work.
- Prefer prior experience in a healthcare or marketing setting.
- Above average computer skills, preferably including MS Office Suite.
- Must be able to access, input and retrieve information from the computer and central file system on a constant basis throughout the day.
- Must have exceptional communication skills, be an active listener, extremely articulate and an effective writer.
- Able to independently manage several projects at once with excellent attention to detail.
