You'll work alongside an experienced outpatient imaging team and have the opportunity to expand your skills through cross-training in DXA Bone Densitometry.

What You'll Do

As an X-Ray Technologist, you'll provide exceptional diagnostic imaging while ensuring every patient feels comfortable, informed, and cared for.

Perform Diagnostic X-Ray Examinations

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations for walk-in and scheduled patients
• Produce consistently excellent diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
• Follow established imaging protocols while maintaining patient safety

Deliver Exceptional Patient Care

• Welcome patients with professionalism and compassion
• Obtain complete and accurate medical histories
• Clearly explain imaging procedures and answer patient questions
• Create a calm, reassuring experience throughout each examination

Maintain Clinical Excellence

• Ensure accurate patient documentation
• Follow radiation safety and quality assurance protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists and fellow technologists to support efficient patient care
• Maintain equipment and imaging rooms in accordance with departmental standards

Expand Your Skills

• Receive training in DXA Bone Densitometry
• Continue developing your clinical knowledge within outpatient imaging
• Support a collaborative team dedicated to continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

Required

• Active ARRT (R) certification
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist License
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach

Preferred

• One or more years of Radiologic Technologist experience
• Experience in an outpatient imaging environment
• Interest in expanding your skills through DXA cross-training

• Perform X-ray examinations confidently and independently
• Produce consistently high-quality diagnostic images
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience during every visit
• Become proficient in outpatient workflows and departmental protocols
• Begin cross-training in DXA Bone Densitometry
• Become a valued member of the Prosperity imaging team

Compensation

Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:

$33.15 - $36.08 - $39.00 - $41.93 per hour

Placement within the range is determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
