Interventional Radiology Nurse (IR RN)

This is a full-time, benefitted position at the Fairfax Vascular Center, working four 10-hour shifts. 

No weekends, evenings, holidays, or call! Free on-site parking.

As an Interventional Radiology RN at the Fairfax Vascular Center, you love the controlled environment and the complexity of the procedures performed at this world-class, outpatient Vascular Center, all while maintaining your quality of life. You enjoy the interaction with your patients, from entry to discharge, and the impact you have on their experience. 

What you’ll do:

  • Working side by side with a dynamic team of providers, you will assist with a wide variety of interventional procedures that are referred by, not limited to:
    1. CV, OB, Urology, Oncology, and Ortho
  • Assess patients, provide appropriate patient care and treatment during pre-, intra- and post-procedure phases of the patient’s procedure 
  • Provide intra-procedure monitoring and administration of moderate sedation 
    1. Recovery/Discharge of the patient post procedure
  • Post procedure communication with patients 

What you’ll bring:

  • Moderate sedation experience as an RN is required
  • 2+ years’ RN experience in IR, ED, or Critical Care is highly preferred
  • BLS certification is required
  • ACLS certification is required
  • Unencumbered Virginia RN license is required (or other Compact state if not living in Virginia)
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically within an EMR
    • Epic experience a plus
